A little more about Syed!

During my time at university, I founded an investment fund, Oakwood Fund, which gave me genuine insight into what the financial services industry is really like. What drew me in was the realisation that in depth research and thoughtful advice can truly change the trajectory of someone’s life. Money decisions are not just about numbers, they shape choices, opportunities, and peace of mind.
I have always been fascinated by how disciplined planning compounds over time. After studying economics, I wanted a career where I could combine technical understanding with meaningful human impact, helping people navigate complexity and make confident long term decisions. Being trusted at important moments in someone’s life is a real privilege, and a responsibility I take very seriously.
My YouTube recommendations would suggest my favourite way to switch off is anything related to cars, watch restorations or history infographics. I also value time with family and exploring ideas around personal development, purpose, and legacy, all of which inform how I think about wealth beyond numbers alone.
Focus on what truly matters over the long term, and don’t get distracted by short-term noise.
To me, financial confidence is clarity.
It’s knowing where you stand, understanding your options, and feeling comfortable making decisions without second-guessing or worry. It’s not about chasing the highest returns, it’s about having a plan that supports the life you want to live, with resilience built in for the unexpected.
When clients reach a point where they feel calm and in control of their finances, that’s when I know we’ve done our job well.
I find it incredibly rewarding to see the shift that happens when someone moves from uncertainty to clarity.
Often clients come in with questions or concerns that have been sitting in the background for years. Being able to listen carefully, understand what really matters to them, and help bring structure to their financial world is deeply fulfilling.
Over time, those relationships become partnerships and being part of someone’s journey as their life evolves is one of the most meaningful aspects of this profession.
